LAUSD MISSION STATEMENT
The teachers, administration, and the staff of
the Los Angeles Unified School District believe in
the equal worth and dignity of all students and
are committed to educate all students to their
maximum potential.

EQUAL ACCESS
All educational and vocational classes are offered
without regard for race, color, national origin, sex,
or disability. A lack of English language skills will
not be a barrier to admission and participation in
educational and vocational programs.

UNIFORM COMPLAINT PROCESS
The Los Angeles Unified School District has a uniform
complaint process as required in Title 5, Section
4600-4671 in the State Education Code. A copy of the
policy is posted in the adult school office. The policy
provides for mediation or investigation, presentation
of information relevant to the complaint, follow-up
and remedies or appeals as appropriate.

SEXUAL HARRASSMENT
District policy explicitly prohibits sexual harassment
of any kind.

TOBACCO FREE ENVIRONMENT
Smoking or the use of tobacco in any form on the
school grounds is prohibited by law.
